Every pet lover should read this book and then go love on their dog or cat or child like I did, as soon as I finished it. Such a tearjerker, but in both good and bad ways, not like Marley & Me. I cried three or four times…but maybe that’s because I’m a little crazy right now? 😦

I have, and liked it as well. This one resonated more deeply with me for some reason, I think because I read it in the midst of a mini mental-health break of my own. When CJ was struggling so mightily, with only her dog to love her and support her, I definitely identified and was right there with her…
