“Well I tried to make it Sunday, but I got so damn depressed
That I set my sights on Monday and I got myself undressed
I ain’t ready for the altar but I do agree there’s times
When a woman sure can be a friend of mine”

The lyrics are about alcohol and depression, promiscuity, sex and “People with No Soul”
Winding your way down on Baker Street
Light in your head and dead on your feet
Well, another crazy day
You’ll drink the night away
And forget about everything
This city desert makes you feel so cold
It’s got so many people, but it’s got no soul
And it’s taken you so long
To find out you were wrong
When you thought it held everything
You used to think that it was so easy
You used to say that it was so easy
But you’re trying, you’re trying now
Another year and then you’d be happy
Just one more year and then you’d be happy
But you’re crying, you’re crying now
Way down the street there’s a light in his place
He opens the door, he’s got that look on his face
And he asks you where you’ve been
You tell him who you’ve seen
And you talk about anything
He’s got this dream about buying some land
He’s gonna give up the booze and the one-night stands
And then he’ll settle down
In some quiet little town
And forget about everything
But you know he’ll always keep moving
You know he’s never gonna stop moving
‘Cause he’s rolling, he’s the rolling stone
And when you wake up, it’s a new morning
The sun is shining, it’s a new morning
And you’re going, you’re going home

These songs take me back to a happy time, 7 years old, listening to Casey Kasem on American Top 40 and singing to myself…all alone in whatever trailer or apartment I was in, or at my Granny’s.
Night Moves – Bob Seger
Dancing in the Moonlight – King Harvest

The final scene in either the original or remake is guaranteed to make you cry. Home sick from work today, I watched An Affair to Remember and bawled. I want so desperately to find love like Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr, but after all it’s only the movies…and I will likely always be alone.

On HBO tonight, starring Julia Roberts and my nerdy boyfriend Jim Parsons, who is a friend of Dorothy’s of course.
These beagles had been “de-barked” so that they did not disturb the people working in the medical lab.
I had tears in my eyes when I read that beagles are chosen for animal testing because they are “so forgiving” and will continue to try and love and bond with humans, even when being tortured and hurt by them.

Michael is now the first openly gay football player to be drafted by the NFL, as a supplemental pic in the 7th and final round of the NFL draft this past weekend. He played his college ball at Missouri, and the St. Louis Rams drafted him, so at least he has the comfort of staying in his home state. The reason I say that the American public isn’t ready for this much gayness is simple: I like to think of myself as open-minded, liberal, accepting, and I am a known homosexual. When Michael received the news that he had been drafted and kissed and hugged his little boyfriend, I cringed a little and had a small ick factor moment, and I’m a Gay! Thank you for being a trailblazer and brave and unabashedly kissing that sketchy little white boy Michael, I just hope you will have the strength to persevere when all the bullshit starts to fly.

For a few hours yesterday I was flying blissfully high, getting a compliment in court from Judge Moore, smiling and speaking to everyone, confident and optimistic about life. In bed this morning, after calling in sick, my high peak is now a low valley. FML, what if this is as good as it gets? why can’t I find somebody to love me? what’s wrong with me…Last night I watched Black Box, and loved it, identifying with the main character and even seeing some of my Cognitive Behavioral Training in use. Black Box is from the House creative team of writers and producers.

I used to listen to this song and cry and feel sorry for myself. Two years have passed since my breakup. I still haven’t found anyone like him, I still love him, and I still have the occasional cry for him. See the standing ovation for Adele at the end of this awesome performance.
Bianca Del Rio is my girl, and I am 100 % sure she is winning Rupaul’s Drag Race this year…but Adore is one funny bitch! I love her. This bitch got talent as well…she almost won American Idol, back when it was Simon and Paula and fat Randy.

“The other night a close friend told me
Never let my heart fall into careless hands
I said,”Thanks, that’s very nice, appreciate your good advice
But things don’t always go the way that I planned”
“I try to discover
A little something to make me sweeter
Oh baby refrain from breaking my heart
I’m so in love with you
I’ll be forever blue
That you give me no reason
Why you’re making me work so hard
That you give me no
Soul, I hear you calling
Oh baby please give a little respect to me”
